Today my kids went back to school, and while I’m excited to get my routine and focus back, I miss them terribly already. It’s only 9:27 am.
I’m not worried about Sully*, who’s in kindergarten this year. He’s been going to preschool at this school for two years, so he already has several buddies and is comfortable. But this is Baker’s* first year there and all the other kids in her 5th grade class knew each other from last year. But she was excitedly putting her school supplies away when I left. She’s very outgoing and such a sweet girl, that I’m sure she’s already made three new best friends.
What does this have to do with my diet, losing weight or turning 40? Nothing. But it’s what’s on my mind this morning.
