So I took my first Jazzercise class last night. Good news — this will definitely help me with my weight goals and getting in shape. Bad news — I am SOOO not jazzy and WAY out of shape (and I mean WAAAAAY). Within 15 minutes after class started, my extremities felt like spaghetti. It got so tired I just physically could not do one more leg lift.

I’ve always thought I was a somewhat coordinated, rhythmic person, but apparently I’ve been delusional. I had a hard time keeping up with the steps, and I’m sure I looked ridiculous to the people in the rows behind me. But like I said, I’m not here (or there) to impress anyone. I’m just trying to lose some weight and get in shape before turning 40. And this will definitely help!

Now if I can just get my pathetic butt back there for another class…

So here’s a list of things I’ve done right in the past 24 hours: took my first Jazzercise class, ate a small dinner instead of porking out, got to bed at a decent hour, drank lots of water, had an Arbonne protein shake for breakfast

Things I haven’t done so right: Caved in and got favorite my pimento cheese sandwich with cold cucumber soup for lunch, had a fudgesicle yesterday with the kids
