Tough week. Dad had surgery, Baker’s in a play that’s taking up TONS of time, husband’s working more than usual, lots of church work to do, a friend is dealing with a major long-term crisis and I seem to be the only one that’s there for her, and I’m in a never-ending battle with time to move my business forward. Good news — I’ve kept up with Jazzercise and am starting to feel more fit. Bad news — haven’t lost one bleepin pound. Of course the Oreos and burritos probably aren’t helping, but what other tools does a girl have to deal with stress?

I heard recently that excuses are just minor inconveniences with lies attached to them. So true. While all the above have stressed me out, why couldn’t I just go for a jog or nibble carrot sticks and low-fat ranch dressing to combat the stress?  Because Chardonnay and Oreas are much more effective, that’s why!

Am I destined to be Fit, Fat and 40?

  1. Cheryl Says:

You are NOT destined to be fat and 40 (fit, maybe). You have your family’s best interest at heart — just be healthy for the reasons you mentioned before. Forget about the weight loss stuff and just work on making your life healthy — eating stuff that benefits your bod and doing stuff that benefits your bod.
