I did it! I ran for 30 minutes straight today. First time since before I had Baby Blue, since before I was pregnant, since before my miscarriage, since before my broken ankle, since before my surgery debacles… since — well – a long time. I can’t say it was a speedy run, but it was a run. And it didn’t even suck! A caveat, if I may: this doesn’t mean that every run must be 30 minutes now. I’m only asking 22 of 30 minutes TRT at this point and I’m sticking to my baby steps philosophy. But if it feels OK, I’m all for going the distance.
The bad news is that I haven’t been able to lose the Diet Coke just yet. I’m still so prone to stress eating and have rationalized that DC doesn’t really derail my weight-loss efforts. But I’m hitting the market this weekend and will find some tasty (low-cal) alternatives that will hopefully do the trick.
Did I mention that I ran for a full 30 minutes this morning?

My dear, I have just finished reading your blog and you are truly an inspiration! Now, can you tell me how to drop 10 by October 13 (the day we leave for vacation in Florida?) Hugs to you!

Hey Chickee, you should try the Arbonne Fizz Tabs. That’s what helped me give up Mountain Dew, and I never looked back! They’re tablets that you put in your bottle of water and they fizz up and create an all-natural energy drink that boost your metabolism. I love them! Just might be the cure you need.
