If my calculations are correct, we are half-way through our “20 pounds in 20 weeks” program. Scary! While I’ve been at it for 10 weeks, I’ve only lost 5 pounds, which isn’t so hot. But, to be honest, I haven’t really been trying that hard and I’ve always been a procrastinator. Realizing that it’s not healthy to lose 15 pounds in the last week, I’m going to start doing it more seriously today. I’ve got 10 weeks left and 15 pounds to go. One to two pounds per week is actually a pretty healthy way to lose weight, so now’s the time. Here’s my plan:
- Excercise for 1 hour 5 times a week, without fail. I’m already doing Jazzercise 3 times a week, so that’s a good start.
- Have an Arbonne shake for breakfast every day. I’m going to try to avoid the oatmeal (which is healthy, but not with the amount of brown sugar I put on it), cheesy omelets, and anything served at a restaurant that begins with “Cracker.”
- Have an Arbonne shake for lunch every week day, with the only exceptions being days that I have a biz lunch scheduled. In that case, I’ll try to get a salad. But no more runs to McKinley’s for chili and pimento cheese sandwiches.
- My afternoon snack will be fruit, and that’s it.
If I did those things and stuck to it, I’d probably lose the remaining 15 pounds in time. I’ve already made several changes to my diet that has helped — very few desserts, no more fast food or fried food, drinking three Fizz Tabs a day, exercising regularly.
We need to make some big New Year’s Eve plans. I’ll be looking so hot by then!

You can do this… just remember WHY you want to do it (the reasons you had IN ADDITION to skinny jeans).
