I’m down another two as of last Friday… putting me firmly in the 130s. The weight loss has opened up a nearly forgotten facet of my wardrobe — clothes that have been living in a garbage bag at the bottom of my closet, clothes I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of with hopes they’d fit someday. It’s so good to finally see that day (for most of the clothes, anyway). There was only one pair of higher-waisted pants that had to go. I may be a mom now, but I don’t have to wear the pants to prove it.
There’s a bit of a setback this week, however. Injuries. First, my knee decided to go on strike. Not pretty. Now, my lower back is protesting. I’ve traded my runs in for brisk walks and precor workouts — but am a little concerned it won’t be enough for a loss. I’ve even started walking across my company campus to the building across the street to tinkle. Round trip, it’s about 15-20 minutes. It’s the kind of tinkle one must plan for, but if it gets me closer to my goal, I can handle it.
Mama lost two pounds, two pounds. 11.5 down (13.5 total); 8.5 to go toward my 20.
