Clearly I haven’t blogged in a long time, but I’m happy to say it’s not because I’ve gained weight and am feeling guilty. In fact, I’m doing great! I think between the Jazzercise and the Arbonne weightloss products, I have completely reset my metabolism. It’s amazing! I’ve stayed right around 157-158 throughout the holiday season, despite partaking of more than my fair share of Christmas cookies (just ask my kids) and indulging in a bit of vino. Six months ago, this kind of behavior would have resulted in at least 6-7 extra pounds, but not anymore!
I’ve been keeping up with Jazzercise, which really helps. I’m going at least three times a week, and am shooting for 4-5 times a week in the new year. That’s made a big impact, and has really helped me firm up. In fact, my hubby bought me some pretty workout pants for Christmas, and they were too big. I was thrilled! I can’t tell you how good it felt to try on pants and have them be too loose!
Aside from cutting off my arm, it’s extremely unlikely that I’ll lose another 10 pounds by tomorrow. So even though I didn’t lose my 20 lbs in 20 weeks like Cheryl did, I did lose a solid 10 pounds and am keeping it off. I feel great and look better than I have in ages, so I’m pretty pleased right now.
I actually have another 5 weeks before I officially turn 40, and 2 lbs per week is a very healthy amount of weight to lose. So starting January 1, I’m going for it. If I got down to 148 for my birthday, I’ll be more than happy to tell everyone to just give me clothes, because I don’t think I’d fit in anything I currently own. What a wonderful problem to have!
