I’m wearing a “new” jacket today:  cute, short-sleeved striped jacket with big red buttons.  I fell in love with it several years ago and bought it for a great price because some of the buttons were missing.  I went to great effort to find replacement buttons, then rotate them all so that everything looked right

(Note: I’m no seamstress.  Note #2:  clearly, all this effort took place long before Blue came along).

But when I went to wear my cute jacket, I found the sleeves so tight around my arms that it was uncomfortable to wear (and unbuttoning those big red buttons just looked dumb.  So it hung in my closet for a few years.

Until today.

I still have a lot of work to do with regard to the rest of my life, but this one thing seems to be working.  So I’m going to let my fun red buttons be a reminder of that and keep plugging away at my newest round of habits: writing and organizing my home.
