Tuesday night I finally started bringing up my summer clothes. The sweaters in my closet just weren’t working with 90 degree Kentucky weather. There’s one pair of pants in there that I bought online three years ago on sale. They’re really cute, although perhaps a bit mom-ish. (But I’m a mom, right?) Capri kackis with little flip flops embroidered in them.  They’re in a size that should totally fit me, but for some reason, they don’t. In fact, they never have.  I thought for sure this would be the year that they fit. But they’re still a little two tight.

So I got all excited about getting back to my healthier routine and shedding a few pounds before vacation. Yesterday was kind of crazy — all-day frield trip to an amusement park with a bunch of 5th graders. Hard to eat too healthy there, although I did have a salad for dinner.

So I woke up this morning, totally exausted and half-heartedly ready to restart. Had to be at BNI at 7 am this morning, so when I got home, what did I choose for a healthy start to my day? … Two of my kids’ chocolate pudding cups. Not the best option, right?

But I’m going to forgive myself for this slip up, just as Cheryl did for her week off (you go girl!) There’s a banana protein/fiber shake in my future for lunch, and I just found another tube of Fizz Tabs, so it’s fizzing up as we speak. I’ll go down and make that shake as soon as I’m done with this bowl of cheese popcorn I’m munching on. (Forgiving myself for that one, too!)
