It’s morning. I’m writing. Or will be writing as soon as I post this. It’s not 5 a.m. But it’s before work and my computer is up, I’m all made up and polished and ready for work and I know what I’m going to write this morning.
I may not get more than half an hour to write, but it’s progress.
When I started running, I couldn’t run for 30 minutes. So I started out walking… then I’d try running for two-minute increments. Then three-minute increments. No pressure — just progress.
Progress is good.

I got up early and started working yesterday, too! When the hubby rolled out of bed at 6 a.m., I laid there for a few minutes happily thinking about how I had another 35 minutes before I had to get the kids up. But then guilt set in, I got up, turned on the computer, and got down to business. I had updated my blog, updated my client’s FB page, and searched Craigslist before our day officially started. I love the feeling of crossing things off my list before the kids even get up!
